​The Kokok Putih Mini Hydroelectric Power Plant, which is located on the Kokok Putih River in Desa Bilok Petung,Kecamatan Sembalun, Lombok Timur is NIE’s first construction project and marks the start of an ambitious expansion and development program of hydroelectric generation in the state to support the government agenda.
​The Kokok Putih project has a capacity of 3.8Mwcomprising 2 x 1.9Mw turbines.The construction period for the project spans 2 years, with the first power forecast in January, 2013.
The Kokok Putih project would obviate the use of coal, natural gas or oil for power generation, thereby saving on import costs, permitting more of these resources to be exported and provide Indonesians with emission free clean energy.
